Sydney Gordon Releases brutally honest single “I Should’ve Known” embodying self-love

For Immediate Release: (New York, NY) – April 7th, 2023 – Sydney Gordon, the rising pop singer-songwriter, is breaking free from the past with her latest single “I Should’ve Known.” Being released on April 7th, the song is an alluring anthem about self-empowerment and learning from mistakes. With her powerful vocals and relatable lyrics, Sydney is able to connect with her audience on a deep level.

Asked about what inspired the lyrics to her song “I Should’ve Known” Sydney explains;

“When I finally realized that I was being betrayed, especially by someone who I trusted implicitly, it became clear that my instincts were right all along. After the anger had cleared I really felt empowered and had no sympathy, even though he tried to make it right and turn things around… he just didn’t deserve it. Too many lies for too long.”

2022 was an impressive first year of releasing music for Sydney with five original pop anthems out on her independent label Static Impulse Records. Highlights for the magnetic singer/songwriter included being featured on iHeart Radio’s Most Requested Live with Romeo and Sirius XM’s Train Tracks on the Pulse hosted by Pat Moynahan, both airing her song “Chains” to their nationwide listeners.

Sydney co-wrote “I Should’ve Known” in collaboration with the song’s producer Matthew T Wiggers. The track was mixed by Tony Maserati and mastered by Dave Kutch.
